IBS- C and chronic constipation are conditions that impact the lives of many people. I moderated a panel last year with Dr. William Chey and Dr. Tony Lembo on the definition, diagnosis and treatment of two similar but somewhat different conditions: irritable bowel with constipation (IBS-C) and chronic idiopathic or functional constipation. We discuss similarities and differences in diagnosis and treatment.
